Overview

The Batangas Egg Producers Association, Inc. (BaEPA) is a duly registered, non-stock, non-profit organization established on May 22, 2001. It is composed of layer farmers, feed millers, and consultants from Batangas and neighboring provinces. BaEPA is committed in promoting the growth and sustainability of the egg industry in the region while upholding the welfare of its members and the farming community. Currently, the association has 95 active members and continues to grow as a key player in the agricultural sector.

BaEPA holds regular monthly meetings every 1st Thursday of the month, serving as a platform for information sharing, collaboration, and policy dialogue.

- Member of the Provincial Livestock and Poultry Development Council
- Member of the Technical Working Group (TWG) for Avian Influenza (AI)

To be a unified and proactive association that leads the growth of the egg industry in Batangas and nearby provinces. Empowering its members, promoting biosecurity and sustainability, and contributing to national food security.

Mission

To promote, develop, and integrate the egg industry through responsible farming practices, policy advocacy, member support, and community engagement.

Core Objectives

- Advance the egg industry in Batangas by fostering sustainable and profitable practices.
- Enhance the welfare of farmers, families, and agribusiness entities in the poultry sector.
- Establish a reliable statistical system for monitoring population and production trends.
- Facilitate access to credit and grant opportunities for members.
- Conduct training programs, field visits, and sponsor scholarships for deserving individuals.
- Provide assistance to members during emergencies and times of need.
- Engage in collaborative actions to protect the industry and promote good governance.


Key Programs and Initiatives

- Monthly Technical and Industry Meetings: Updates on veterinary products, technology, and market trends.
- Avian Influenza Prevention Program: Coordination with the Provincial Veterinary Office and membership in the Technical Working Group (TWG) on bird flu prevention.
- Weekly Egg Price Monitoring: Regular dissemination of updated egg prices for members.
- Policy Advocacy: Collaboration with industry leaders and local government officials to influence policies related to egg and poultry production and movement.
- Capacity Building: Organization of symposia, seminars, and international trade show participation.
- Social Responsibility: Yearly outings and regular support to local elderly care institutions.
